Sparks - The Graphic Novel

It has been a whirlwind week for the cast and crew of Sparks, and yes, in a small way that includes me, too. As occasional editor for the imprint Catastrophic Comics, the relaunch of the flagship series Sparks as a graphic novel was a great honor, and it was a blast to see it come to life on the big screen at Cinequest.

Last week we had a huge signing event at Illusive Comics & Games, with stars Chase Williamson, William Katt and Clancy Brown. And of course, you've probably heard the podcast, Episode #299, which is full of interviews of people involved with Sparks.

Tonight after the final screening at Cinequest, I discovered that people had been having a hard time finding the book, so let me reiterate: a few copies are still at Illusive Comics & Games, and they are currently the exclusive brick and mortar retailer. Your best bet is to find the book on Amazon, and lest you get bogged down wading through seventeen editions of Nicholas Sparks' A Walk to Remember, I'm setting the Amazon link apart separately here.

Click right in this box and you can get your copy of the 180-page graphic novel, which is gathering critical buzz. I can't fairly review the book myself, since I edited it, but do know that the word over the weekend at Cinequest was that it was a fun and suspenseful read. You can also follow to this page to purchase a download of the great soundtrack by San Jose native Jacob Shea.

If you didn't get a chance to see the film, keep on top of things at either the Sparks movie Facebook page for news of screenings, or check back here or on our own Facebook page.

Below is the trailer. Keep your fingers crossed that soon Sparks could be coming to a theater near you. Order the book and at least get THAT in your mailbox.
