Sparks Premieres at Cinequest 2013!
Sideshow Productions Gives Fanboy Planet Exclusive Trailer!

Yes, years ago I edited a graphic novel by writer Christopher Folino with art by JM Ringuet. Folino, also a filmmaker, didn't just push forward into motion comics with Sparks, but he has now adapted his own work to film, starring Chase Williamson (John Dies at the End), Ashley Bell (The Last Exorcism), Clancy Brown, William Katt, Jake Busey and Clint Howard -- plus many more.

What I can't believe is that the World Premiere happens to be in the hometown of Fanboy Planet -- March 1st at 7 p.m. at the California Theater in San Jose as a major entry in Cinequest!

And seriously, Folino is exactly the kind of filmmaker Cinequest is all about, truly independent and committed to his vision. "Cinequest is one of the last film festivals for true indie filmmakers and it's only fitting thatSparks, which was self-financed, is playing there. It's an honor to be part of the Cinequest film festival," stated Co-director and Producer Folino.

SYNOPSIS: Sparks is a superhero noir thriller set in the 1940s and is the story of a masked vigilante Ian Sparks, who discovers the dark side to heroism. Going after the nation's most notorious super criminal leaves Sparks' life and reputation in ruins.
