Activision
Wants You To Be Fantastic...
We're
a little late with this -- it's been crazy here at the office
-- but the news is still worth looking at anyway. Activision
gave us access to screenshots from their upcoming videogame
version of Fantastic Four, one of this summer's hopeful
bets to have fans drooling.
The
game has been scripted by Zak Penn (X2: X-Men United and
TNT's Houdini) to both recapture the experience of the movie
and to delve into other areas of FF lore -- for instance,
you can clearly see homages to the first issue of Lee and
Kirby's original run in some of these screen captures.
Players
will be able to experience the game as any of the main four
characters, on an individual basis as well as jumping from
hero to hero in "team play." Activision also promises
that players can go head to head in arena play.
Currently
scheduled for a "Summer 2005" release, Fantastic
Four will be available for all console platforms including
PC.
For
formatting sake, I've had to cut down the images, but you
can click on them to download the original screen shots
in all their wide-screen glory.
