I just watched this trailer. They didn't even have to put copy over the visuals; just London at night and the sweeping orchestration of the Sherman Brothers' "Feed the Birds" -- it was Walt Disney's favorite song, and it's my favorite Disney song, too. (Yes, Nate, dab my eyes, please.)

There are two things that sum up what Disney magic means -- the Peter Pan ride at Disneyland, where for two minutes you can go off to Neverland and remember what it's like to be a child (and hopefully have your kids with you enjoying it), and Mary Poppins, which really is about saving all the Mr. Bankses inside us.

So even though I have the previous anniversay editions, I'll get this one, too, because I don't have it on Blu-ray and this movie, like Mary Poppins herself, is practically perfect in every way. I'll gorge on it, and then enjoy Saving Mr. Banks later in December.

Save the date -- December 10th. Okay, so it's not necessarily a good time of year to go fly a kite, but still...
