Beware The Batman:
Shadows Of Gotham Coming February 18th
This latest animated take on Batman -- at least, on television -- arrived with a lot of hype and then somehow, for some reason, just disappeared. In fact, though this is listed as Season One, Part One, I think the episodes listed below were the only ones broadcast.
Even now, Warner Brothers is giving us less than a week notice that HEY! We're releasing it on blu-ray.
Which is really how it should be seen, because the artistry in the CG backgrounds is almost photo-realistic, even though the character designs aren't.
Watch Fanboy Planet for more information about this DVD next week, when we can perhaps go deeper into what works about it and why you want to watch this series. The producers definitely made unique choices to make it stand out from the previous Batman adaptations, and that doesn't make it a bad thing -- it just means audiences didn't quite know what to expect.
