Jodorowsky's Dune: Suddenly The Movie I Want To See Most In 2014
The first time I saw David Lynch's version of Dune, I had been awake for 24 hours, which meant that I thought I had nodded off and dreamt huge sections of it. And even then, it couldn't begin to touch the visions hinted at in this trailer.
People talk about Star Wars changing everything for science fiction in movies, but what if THIS had actually been made, instead of just a documentary about the failed struggle to make it? This may top Lost In La Mancha -- but with even greater rue that a vision this insane did not come to fruition. David Carradine, Mick Jagger, Salvador Dali and Orson Welles all would have shared the screen in an "LSD vision without taking LSD." The mind boggles, and this documentary is getting U.S. release on March 7th.
