The
Rock On The Red Carpet!
Last
Thursday, Lon Lopez and Derek McCaw ventured to the wilds
of Downtown San Jose to meet the man, the myth, the rock,
Dwayne Johnson. What was he doing there? Not just promoting
his new film Gridiron Gang (which, by the way,
made Lon weep like a willow), but also giving a thrill to
the local chapter of Afterschool All-Stars, a charitable
organization that provides afterschool opportunities to
at-risk kids. Founded by Arnold Schwarzenegger, the organization
is one close to Johnson's heart, and he has become their
national spokesperson.
We didn't
get much time with The Rock, but hey, at least we stood
very very close to him.
