Damage,
Inc. - Master of Puppets
This song will always
have a special place in my heart. About 15 years ago, I was staying
with some friends at a ranch in Colorado. It was May, so the grass was
freshly green from the cold winter snow yet the sun was out and warming
to your skin. We had just come back from an afternoon ride, and we sat
down for a nice glass of sherry. No one was really in the mood for conversation;
we were all locked in our own introspective thoughts. Todd felt the
need to break the silence and turn on the radio. The first station he
found was playing this delightful song. We all made eye contact once
the music hit our ears. Somehow the wet grass scent, the sherry, and
this song made for a wonderful combination.
Forever this song
will signify growing up and remembering friends.
Enjoy its dulcid
melodies with those special friends of yours.
