The
Jekyll Journals: The Transformation
Mark Teague's Storyboards For Man Into Monster
One
item on the Linda Vista Hospital set that caught my attention
was the storyboard for Jekyll's transformation into Hyde.
A crucial scene, with a few variations being shot, and it
was clear that as production designer, Mark Teague had to
keep a watchful eye making sure the vision in Scott Zakarin's
mind matched the reality playing out for the cameras.
When
I asked him if he had these panels scanned into the computer,
he laughed. I blame the sleep deprivation, as that guy was
burning several candles at both ends during the shooting of
Jekyll.
Luckily,
Paul Cammuso, new friend to Fanboy Planet but old friend of
Creative Light Entertainment, took these shots and sent them
to me. Enjoy this little behind-the-scenes look at a new take
on a classic moment, in all eight panels of coolness. (All
photographs by Paul Cammuso.)
