First Official Image of Grant Gustin As... The Flash
Production begins next week on the CW pilot for The Flash, and to celebrate, the CW has released this image of star Grant Gustin in costume. Designed by three-time Academy Award winner Colleen Atwood, so far this costume looks pretty good, integrating the Flash's logo into his cowl but not annoyingly so. (Though I'd hate to become a superhero today; you have to worry so much about branding. What if Bruce Wayne had said, "that's it! I shall become a transmedia IP and LLC!")
Atwood also designed the costume for Arrow, and that's worked out pretty well. The pilot will be produced by Andrew Kreisberg, Greg Berlanti and David Nutter, all of whom work on Arrow. Nutter will direct the pilot from a script by Kreisberg and Berlanti along with DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns.
