DC
Gets U.S. Stamps of Approval...
I have
this shirt I bought over a decade ago at the Warner Brothers
store, a nice dress shirt with appliques of Aquaman and
Plastic Man. People study it, wondering who the big stretchy
guy is coming out of the pocket, but they usually know Aquaman
-- that guy that talks to fish. Next year, people won't
wonder. Why?
Timed
to be released during Comic-Con 2006, both Plastic Man and
Aquaman (and a host of other better known heroes) will be
getting a set of commemorative stamps from the U.S. postal
service.
This
isn't the first time a superhero has been on a stamp; Superman
appeared in the late '90s, in a classic image. But ten --
TEN -- DC heroes will be released, and to make it even better,
ten -- TEN -- iconic comic book covers featuring those ten
will be available.
Take
a gander, and once again marvel, er, be grateful to be a
comic book fan in the 21st century...

This doesn't
mean your mail will get there faster, but possibly
it will get there a little braver and bolder.
