Boy Escaping From Metro City
(and into theaters in October)
At Comic-Con
we sat down with cast and crew from the upcoming animated
revision of Astro Boy. As we get closer to the
release date, we'll have those interviews -- including Kristen
Bell and Freddie Highmore. In the meantime, Summit Entertainment
and IMAGI Studios offers the following shots and a short
but exciting sequence from the film.
It looks
good -- loyal to the source material but given a few tweaks
for American audiences. And both Ric Bretschneider and I
can vouch for the passion of the filmmakers, and their concern
to make sure they maintain the vision of a world-wide icon
while rocketing him into the future...
