What?
No Riding a Seahorse?
Aquaman - excuse me - Arthur Curry - gets
a WB Pilot...
Should
Aquaman fans be happy? On the heels of the highest rated
episode of Smallville ever, the WB has turned to
producers Gough and Millar to spin off the young Scion of
Atlantis into his own show.
However,
everything you think you learned from Smallville
will be wrong. In fact, the actor that appeared as Arthur
Curry, Alan Ritchson, will definitely not be under consideration
for the series.
Instead,
the new pilot recasts Arthur Curry as a 20 something living
on the edge of the Bermuda Triangle. His mother has disappeared
into that famous mystery, while his adopted father, a member
of the Coast Guard, helps him come to grips with his strange
abilities.
And
no, according to Gough and Millar, he will not be able to
communicate with fish, nor will he ride a giant seahorse.
Okay,
that's it. If Tusky isn't involved, I'm out.
