Everyone will have their own opinions, but here's mine. No matter how we look into this incarnation of the DC heroes, Zack Snyder has Martha Kent wrong. "You don't owe this world a thing." This is a Superman who did not get the moral certainty of the Kents, because these Kents, while not bad people, didn't have it. Naturally, then, he is uncertain.
Batman, well, he's Batman. Wonder Woman, she's Wonder Woman. But I caught a glimpse echoing the Red Son Batman, and therein lies the strength and weakness of what I fear about this movie: great iconic visuals, done for all the right reasons. But they're pulled from a variety of sources without really paying attention to how -- or if -- they should fit together.
I'll keep an open mind. I promise. It might be a good movie. It just won't be my Batman and Superman.
