Comic-Con
2011:
Thursday
Twilight ended up being not as big a crowd as anticipated, but still huge and enthusiastic. The biggest miscalculation for room placement? HBO's Game of Thrones which was logically put in Ballroom 20 really could have filled Hall H.
Off-site, the day opened with fan screenings of Captain America: The First Avenger, touting that Comic-Con would be "the first to see the First." Clever campaign, and one that included screening in several of the UA Horton's houses -- one filled with U.S. servicemen from every branch. Chris Evans visited each theater and hyped the crowd -- like we needed it!
And even if you're locked out of the Con, there's still a lot to do outside that's still touched by our world.
