Fanboy Planet Podcast From Earth-2:
Spotlight Books of the Week with Carr D'Angelo
Still
in L.A. working on Tony
Loco and stories for Fanboy Planet. Of course, the downside
is that I haven't had a chance to look at this week's books
ahead of time. It's actually a time of withdrawal, as I will
still pull everything out of my box at Fanboy Planet Comics.
In
the meantime, though, Fanboy Planet the website has spent
a lot of time inhaling comic books at Earth-2 Comics,
at 15017 Ventura Blvd. in Sherman Oaks, CA 91403.
Naturally,
store owner Carr
D'Angelo (co-owning with the gracious Jud Meyers) has
had a chance to dig into the retailer previews, and graciously
agreed to host a podcast with Derek from his shop.
So
rather than have a written article this week spotlighting
the most interesting books of the week, we've podcast it.
Carr offers up his opinions on this week's books, trade
paperbacks, the best series people should probably be reading
and of course the news today of Heath Ledger as The Joker.
