 I doubt it's Marvel's intent, but I'm loving how the covers look like old Bantam paperbacks -- more specifically, strangely, Doc Savage novels. The real intent is so that you'll know exactly where in the timeline this is falling -- and yes, indeed, this now officially tells the story of what happened after Return of the Jedi.
I know... many of us loved the Thrawn Trilogy, which is now only a Legend. It's still enjoyable. It's just not canon. And I know Drew Campbell just hurled a metaphorical shoe at me for saying many of us loved it.
But maybe we can all love this... already I like the Phil Noto cover, and the preview pages included here look pretty darned good.
And Greg Rucka is writing? Fantastic.
So just in case you weren't already excited for The Force Awakens, maybe you should give this a look. Though I'm with you -- can we just call this Shattered Empire?
