Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday we give you the scoop on what's
happening in and out of the wrestling ring. Somedays it's even funny!

Chris Adams Killed
Former WCW wrestler Chris Adams was shot and killed on Oct. 7 in Waxahachie,
Texas. Adams was 46 years-old. Waxahachie police released the following
statement yesterday:
On 10/7/01, at approx. 1:00 AM, City of
Waxahachie Police Officers responded to the 200 blk. of Sendero in response
to a 911 call from that location. On their arrival, they found the body
of a white male identified as Chris Adams of Rowlette, Tex. Police are
investigating the death as a shooting. A 49 year old male was taken
into custody at the scene and is expected to be arraigned on a murder
charge today.
William Parnell, a former roommate of
Adams, was arrested at the scene of the murder. Published reports indicate
that Parnell is planning to plead not guilty, as he is claiming he shot
Adams in self defense. Chris Adams was a C string wrestler who mostly
appeared on late night WCW shows. Recently, Adams was charged with manslaughter
relating to the death of his girlfriend, Linda Kaphengst, who died in
April 2000 after ingesting GHB and alcohol with Adams. That case was
still pending at the time of Adams's death. Meanwhile, O.J. Simpson
is still looking for the real killers of his wife.
Return of the Bad Guys
Jim Ross confirmed Friday afternoon that the WWF has been in "unofficial"
talks with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall about a return to the WWF early
next year. Kevin Nash is still under contract with Time Warner until
January and Scott Hall is currently working in Japan. Also, never underestimate
the shock value of the WWF buying out Kevin Nash's remaining contract
to have The Outsiders return to the WWF as a surprise. Regardless, the
Internet fandom is in a tizzy over the news. I think that once the surprise
of seeing both guys back wears off, we will all remember what lazy wrestlers
that act as locker room cancer they can be.
Hart Family Update
Bret Hart made comments about his ailing mother this week in his column.

Raw Preview
"It's easily the biggest match in the history of RAW, and many are even
calling it the match that could forever change the course of sports-entertainment
history." It sounds like Tony Schavonie is writing the preview for Raw
this week. Of course Tony used to say the practically every week on Nitro.
Will Kurt Angle vs. Steve Austin III for the WWF World Heavy Weight Title
live up to the hype? Probably not, but I'm willing to give it a try. Jim
Ross has promised a pay per view atmosphere tonight. The WWF has some
mighty big aces up their sleeve and now is as good of time as any with
fan interest dwindling. Will we see the return of Vince McMahon, Mick
Foley, HHH, Shawn Michaels, Diamond Dallas Page, or will it be Moppy?
Anyway, whatever happens tonight, the WWF has a real pay per view in two
weeks and needs to start building that card. I'm guessing we will see
Edge and Christian battle each other. Who will the WWF Tag Champs The
Dudleys face? Who gonna fight Kanyon? Wassup with Spike and The Hurricane?
I expect the answers to these questions and more will become clear by
11pm tonight.
