Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday we give you the scoop on what's happening in and out of the wrestling ring. Somedays it's even funny!

Boy, Smackdown being on Tuesday sure leaves me with not a lot to talk about on Friday. Let's keep this one quick and clean.

Can You Smell What The Rock Had For Breakfast
Infamous stripper/pornstar Kendra Jade desperately wanted to meet The Rock. So when Rocky appeared on The Howard Stern Show last Thursday, she agreed to vomit on one of Stern's listeners (he had a fetish -- let's not talk about it). Does The Rock have this effect on all women? She ended up vomiting twice, and upon meeting her idol told him she "...wants his strudel."

Vince McMahon Interview
Tonight at 7 p.m. on Canada's Headline Sports, Elliot Friedman will be doing a special one on one interview with my hero, Vince McMahon. Vince will reportedly talk about the death of Owen Hart, as well as the "You Screwed Bret chants" from this week's TV in Toronto. I hope Vince blows a gasket and yells at the guy like he did to Bob Costas.

USA Today
Vince and Linda McMahon were featured in yesterdays' on-line version of USA Today. The article covers everything about the company from The McMahons to the XFL. The best quote is Vince saying that the WWF is "one of America's greatest exports." To read the entire article, click here.

Ratings for the Week
Raw aired on Labor Day this week and it didn't help ratings any. The show scored a 4.6 rating which is the lowest rating since the July 2 episode, which also drew 4.6. One factor that caused the rating to go down was the fact that technical difficulties cut off the ending to the show in many areas of the country. The overrun only scored a 3.3 which is down 2 points from the norm. Regardless, the show was the #1 and #2 show('cause each hour counts as one show) on cable this week. The rating for the second edition of WWF Excess dropped 0.1 of a point from it's debut edition, scoring a 0.8 rating this week. That number is still better than what TNN was drawing in that time slot prior to Excess. Heat also dropped this week, doing just a 1.3 rating. That is down from last week's 1.6. The final rating for the Tuesday night Smackdown was 3.9.

Ross Report
Jim Ross made his Friday update to WWF.com, so I'm making my Friday update that highlights (steals) his column. Here is the stuff you care about:

  • Steve Austin broke his thumb and suffered a cut that required two stitches during his Smackdown match against Rob Van Dam.
  • Undertaker has a strained shoulder and is working through the injury.
  • Kane's infected elbow has improved and he is expected to return soon.
  • Test is working through a bone bruise on his knee.
  • Kurt Angle is working through an inflamed bursa sac in his elbow.
  • Spike Dudley has a sore back and is also working through it.
  • Trish Stratus's knee ankle injury will keep her out of action for another month.
  • Jerry Lynn's knee surgery will keep him out of action for roughly two more months.
  • "Billy Kidman's rehab seems to have slowed and he will see his doctor next week to have his knee evaluated. No return date can be established until next week's appointment."
  • Val Venis is being sent to Heartland Wrestling to get some ring time.
  • Sean O'Haire is being sent to Ohio Valley for additional training. O'Haire is happy to go since he knows that he is not ready for primetime.
  • Torrie Wilson and Stacy Keibler recently shot an AT&T commercial with Carrot Stick.
  • Booker T and Spike Dudley are scheduled for Saturday's Excess program. Big Show and Shawn Stasiak are scheduled for the following week.
  • I mean Carrot Top.
  • Diamond Dallas Page's rehab for his knee injury is going well and he is expected to be near 100 percent in two to three weeks.
  • Rikishi is working hard at rehabbing his shoulder and is right on track according to his physical therapist. Rikishi's rehab sessions are two hours in length and he goes three to five times per week.
  • Triple H remains in Birmingham, Ala., rehabbing his surgically repaired quad. November or December is still projected as The Game's return date.
  • Chris Benoit's neck is healing well. However, he is still several months away from returning.
  • Bryan Clark and Brian Adams look to be in excellent condition and are looking forward to making a contribution in the Federation. Both are very impressive athletes.
  • "Kurt Angle's new book is floating around our office and it really looks great. It will be available everywhere in mid-September. I really hope you check it out. You will not be sorry."
  • "Two-time best-selling author Mick Foley just returned from a family vacation in New Hampshire, or was it Maine? I spoke with Mick last Saturday and he is looking forward to returning to TV in the future, is planning on writing a novel, preparing for the debut of his new children's book and the re-release of 'Christmas Chaos!'"

That's it for today. Smackdown goes back to being taped on Tuesday, airing on Thursday next week. Also don't forget that Booker T and Spike Dudley are the guests on Excess this week. Have a great weekend.
