Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday we give you the scoop on what's
happening in and out of the wrestling ring. Somedays it's even funny!

Kane Injured
Jim Ross made a special report to WWF.com on Tuesday. In it he explained
the injury he alluded to on Raw. Kane has an elbow infection from a cut
he received during SummerSlam. It didn't look like anything big at the
time, but two days latter he went in to the hospital. They are treating
the infection with an IV of antibiotics, which is faster than using oral
ones. If only I could have an IV of sex. Kane will be off the road this
weekend but shouldn't miss any more television time.
Interesting
Reading
Vince McMahon was quoted in an ABCNews.com report about backyard wrestling,
saying, ""Parents and children need to be wary of and leery of what
they do to emulate us, because even as pros, sometimes we get hurt.
They need to be very, very careful about what they do." The entire piece
is meant as a warning to parents. If you want to check it out, click

colored words.
A more favorable
article about Rhyno is up at DetroitNews.com. Rhyno grew up reading
books and now acts as a WWF Emissary along with Stacy Keibler at local
libraries and schools. It's heart warming and you can read it here.
DirecTV Update
The WWF and DirecTV have yet to reach an agreement regarding the broadcasting
of pay-per-views. Jim Ross told viewers during SummerSlam that there
would be no further WWF PPVs on DirecTV. This bold move apparently worked
as DirectTV was inundated with angry calls and emails. They responded
to their customers this week by saying, "Thank you for us know how important
these events are to you. We are negotiating with the WWF so we can continue
to make these events available to you. WWF Fanatic in September is not
affected and will be available on DirecTV. The WWF event, Unforgiven,
is scheduled for Sept. 23. By that time, we hope to have a contract
that lets us continue to bring these events to you." The WWF is the
biggest game in town when it comes to pay-per-view events and they don't
like to be messed with.
Klingons in the
Ring!
Broadcasting and Cable is reporting that, as part of their October Star
Trek Marathon, TNN will have Star Trek related content inserted into the
October 1st edition of Raw. As to what that means, your guess is as good
as mine. I predict that the Rock is going to lay the Smackdown on those
rooty poo candy ass Ferengi.
Death is Good
for Ratings
Interesting tidbit I found out: Shane McMahon isn't as involved with
the booking of the WWF storylines or matches as Stephanie McMahon is,
but does sometimes throw in his two cents. One rumored idea that Shane
had for the Kane & Undertaker vs. DDP and Kanyon Cage match at SummerSlam
was that the Undertaker give DDP the Last Ride from the top of the cage.
Does Shane realize that DDP would be dead if Taker had tried that? Now
we know who comes up with all those crazy stunt moves that Shane does
when he's in the ring.
Rappin with
Chyna
Since she got bumped last week from the show, Chyna will be on Larry
King Live tonight. Feel free and call in to ask how she feels about
being dumped from the WWF and by HHH.

Also, WWF.com announced

That's it. Thanks
