Welcome to Falls Count Anywhere! My name
is Chris and I didn’t get to the Playboy Mansion.
The
Game Plan
In a strange bit of news, the Rock finally does something
right. The Game
Plan was the number one movie in America this weekend.
I saw it and thought that it was a gentle piece of fluff,
but The Rock was OK playing the comedy and giving a bit
of emotion while the little girl was brilliant. I hated
Kyra Segwick, which is odd because I usually tend to like
her a little. I thought Morris Chestnutt was underused,
but then again I say that a lot.
SmackDown!
I only caught bits and pieces of SD! this week, but I thought
that the Victoria vs. Torrie match was really pretty good.
It was almost all Victoria’s doing, too. Torrie was
really sloppy, but Victoria covered it up the best she could.
They really need to push Victoria hard again because she
was so great in the crazy heel role earlier this year. After
Victoria got the pin, Krissy Vaine came in and beat on Torrie.
They’re adding a good piece of talent there!
Chuck Polumbo is going nowhere. He’s
talented, never let me say any different, but he’s
constantly facing nobodies in nobdy-level matches. Here
he took on Kenny Dykstra and the win meant less than that
one night stand we all had with the annoying girl back in
college. You know the one…
MVP
and Kane had a match. This was a good match and I think
that MVP may be the best situational worker in the WWE.
He’s not great all the time, but when they need him
to hit his mark, he does it. These guys actually put together
a nice series of movies around a simple Big Kick. That’s
how you can tell two guys are working well together -- long
series out of simple moves. I think MVP’s selling
is good for moves, better for personalities. He sells fear
of Kane better than most. Kane went for the Chokeslam and
MVP went with the Low Blow escape to give Kane the DQ win.
Stronger match than I expected.

JBL
interviewed Rey Mysterio in the ring. They went back and
forth and Rey mentioned that he was the guy who retired
JBL. It’s a good thing they keep bringing that back
up because that makes us remember that Rey CAN beat these
big guys. No one gives Rey-Rey a chance against Giant Singh,
but they might remember that Rey beat JBL and put him on
the shelf.
Anyhow,
JBL shoves Rey down and then takes the 619 and out of nowhere
Finlay runs in and hits him with the Stick I can not spell!
Nice to see them building something like that.
Vikki
Guerrero stripped The Mighty Hornswoggle of the Cruiserweight
title. Weird…
The
Undertaker basically squashed Mark Henry. I don’t
know why they’d go that way with this match. Yes,
Mark Henry is awful in the ring (though I think he could
be a fun comedy character) but this didn’t even let
The Undertaker look like the stud he is, either. I’m
not sure what they’ll do with UT now, though there’s
an Umaga match on the books for CyberSunday, but I really
wish they’d get back to building new stars.
All in all, I didn’t mind the show
much. I got a lot done while watching it but there were
times that I stopped and had to watch, which is the sign
of a good TV show.
That’s
all for today! More on Thursday!
