Welcome to Falls Count Anywhere! My name
is Chris and I’ve got plans for New Years!
RAW
A lot of RAW was OK, and the booking was better than I expected.
They’re trying to get things on track for the PPV,
and this was the point where they thought they could do
it because they’ll have a boatload of suspensions
returning around the first of October.
Cena came out and said that he was proud
of his father and that Orton was an idiot for wanting a
rematch since everything that Cena got DQed for will be
legal in the Last Man Standing match the two will have.
Coach came out and made a match between Cena’s Dad
and Orton. Interesting way to go about it.
Jeff Hardy beat Shelton Benjamin. They could
have used this time when folks were suspended to push Shelton,
but no, they bury him again. Now, he and Hardy had a good
little match with Shelton showing a bit more than he has
of late. He hit a really nice Northern Lights Suplex and
a worked over the hand and arm of Hardy. Hardy did his things,
flew all over the place and got the win with the Swanton.
Vince
was in his limo and was mad. He told Coach to take care
of Hornswoggle. I’m not if he wanted him whacked or
given a college scholarship. Later, Hornswoggle dressed
up McMahon’s office with all sorts of Irish stuff.
Nice touch and Hornswoggle got away. That was kinda funny.
Hacksaw Jim Duggan beat Daivari in a Capture
the Flag match. This was lame.
McMahon
came to the ring and called out Hornswoggle, saying that
he wanted to welcome him to the family. He then said that
he was putting him up for adoption and brought out a new
Mom and Dad. Hornswaggle attacked them and Vince called
him a disgrace and Hornswoggle did some great ‘I’m
sad’ facials. This led to HHH coming out and mocking
Vince. Kinda funny.
HHH
took on Cade and Murdoch in a match that wasn’t good,
but at least it was a burial of the Tag Champs. Carlito
came out, too. While he did sell more than usual for the
guys, HHH still got the win with a Spinebuster on Cade.
In a nice bit of rub, the three heels were attacking H and
London and Murdoch made the save. That was a nice touch,
until HHH turned on them and beat ‘em up. That was
so stupid. They need to check that ego.

Candice Michelle and Mickie James beat Jillian
Hall and Melina. This was a decent match. Beth Phoenix was
on the outside. They kept trying to get Beth over as a monster-sized
female. It didn’t work since she’s really not
much bigger than Candice. She’s way hotter though.
Candice did the second best Northern Lights suplex on the
show and won with the Unprettier on Melina. They’ve
really downshifted on Melina. She’s still got huge
potential to make money.
John Cena beat Santino. Orton ran in to
give Cena the DQ win. He handcuffed Cena to the bottom rope
They then had Orton vs. Cena Sr. Orton worked him over and
it was Cody Rhodes to make the save! He got tossed into
the stairs for his troubles. Orton gave Cena Sr. the RKO
and Cena managed to break himself free a little too late
to save his dad.
I did
like the way they’re setting up Rhodes-Orton as the
long-tern battle of the Legacies. I wanna see them take
that places.
Decent
show, well thought out and good wrestling.
That’s
all for this week. More on Monday!
