Welcome to Falls
Count Anywhere! My name is Chris and no UltraMan for me!

Few Notes
No word on Flair. If he really does go, there’s a
good reason but no one is quite sure what that reason is.
He may have a few too many skeletons in the closet to stick
around a place being investigated closely, and if that’s
the case, and the rumor mill has been running with that
one, it would mean there’s bigger trouble ahead.
TNA
signed a new deal with Spike to do a two-hour show for the
next two years. That’s a huge plus for TNA, which
could use the cash and the security, and it means that they’ve
got a little more time to work with. I think we’ll
see longer matches and not too many new hires, unless the
WWE dumps a lot of talent on the market, which could happen.
A
Few UFC Notes
I saw the Michael Bisping vs. Matt Hamill match and all
I can say is Bisping was flat-out robbed. He’s a talented
fighter, and he was working at his home, but he had a lackluster
fight compared to Hamill who just went out and did amazing
things. OK, maybe not amazing, but he was certainly in control
for almost the entire match. This was supposed to be a walk
for Bisping, who was way over with the crowd, but Hamill
came to fight and did a great job. I’d love to see
a rematch, because I think Hamill will be a big deal if
he keeps fighting at this level.
Mirko Cro Cop
lost to Cheick Kongo. It wasn’t a bad fight, but Mirko
has no luster left. I mean Mirko was a monster when he got
beat by Randleman and he came back and was still a monster.
Here, he was little more than a good fighter. It would be
hard to take Pride seriously anymore when the most powerful
fighter (OK, one of the two most powerful fighters) has
fared so poorly.
Quintain Jackson
beat Dan Henderson to be the unified Champion of Pride and
UFC. Jackson was good in Pride, and Henderson was tough,
and it was a good fight. Nothing as dramatic as the Couture
fight last week, but what are you gonna do? I have to say
that Jackson is tough and I want the rematch with Liddell
soon because you’re not going to find two fighters
better right now…except for Couture. He’s a
bad man!
A
Little SmackDown!
What I saw of SmackDown was OK. The MVP Lounge is a nice
touch and MVP has real charisma. I’m loving the feud
with Hardy. He called Matt into the ring and they had a
bouncer check his name on a list before he could come into
the ring. Genius! They did a great spot where Matt took
his half of the World Tag Titles after smacking MVP but
good! He asked for a match at Unforegiven, but MVP had already
signed a rematch for Deuce and Domino.
They
then had Matt take on Deuce in a decent match. Deuce is
probably the better of the team and Matt Hardy was always
the best Hardy Boy when it came to working (not just flipping
around!) Deuce was about to give Matt the Kick in the Face,
but MVP tripped him and Matt got the Twist of Fate for the
win. This was good stuff.
Noble was trying
to catch Hornswaggle with a box trap. Eventually, he found
himself trapped. This was both dumb and funny.
The
last part I saw was Kenny Dykstra getting pinned by Chuck
Palumbo. It was a weak match, but they had Michelle with
Chuck and Victoria with Kenny. They were both very very
hot. Michelle laid out Victoria with a big kick when she
tried to take Chuck’s bike. Meh.
That’s
all for this edition. Thursday will see more of the regular
stuff!
