I missed
the next two segments, but when I got back, Shawn Michaels
was coming to the ring. He did an OK promo about beating
on Vince, but then he said that ‘The cool thing recently
has been to beat on John Cena so why shouldn’t I beat
on Cena for the WWE title.'
That
brought out Shane McMahon. Shawn greeted him by having folks
cheer for Shane as a member of the Kiss My Ass Club. He
then introduced Vince, who is already out of the hospital,
though he’s still in a neckbrace and looked in bad
shape. He said that Shawn was a bad, bad man and that Shawn
wanted to move on and Vince wasn’t gonna let it happen.
They set up Shawn and God vs. Shane and Vince. Yeah, that’s
a match I don’t want to see…unless God actually
shows up and makes the hot tag. That’d be sweet.
They
had a match between Mickie James and Candice Michelle against
Torrie and Trish Stratus. It was nowhere near as good as
the James-Trish match from Mania, but Mickie was still over,
though nowhere near as much as she was earlier. They had
her dye her hair blonde to go full-on Single White Female.
The match was awful when Candice was in. And Torrie. It
ended with Mickie getting the pin on Torrie.
Chavo
came out and said that he was keeping Eddie’s memory
alive. He wrestled Shelton and the match was pretty good.
It wasn’t much special, but they did good stuff. I
wish they would push Chavo for real based on his own merits
(he’s a good wrestler and can promo), but they also
keep stalling on it. Shelton looked good, as always, and
without Mama, it’s been really good.
They
introduce Armando Alejandro Estrada and his tag partner
(the former SuperHero In Training) and they attack Flair.
No one really cared, but I like Armando.
I missed
the Main Event, but I understand that Edge and H couldn’t
get along, though they still managed to beat on Cena and
HHH pinned him after a Pedigree.
It would
have been hard to live up to Mania, but they tried.
That’s
all for this week. Remember, it’s all about Mickie
James!
